Support older adults at John Clarke Senior Living!

Staff from John Clarke Senior Living will participate in the Citizens Pell Bridge Run again this year!

John Clarke Senior Living provides housing and healthcare to older adults on Aquidneck Island with 50 apartments for those over the age of 55 and 60 beds in its Nursing Center. The Nursing Center offers all classes of care, including post-surgical, post cardiac/cardiac rehab, respite, orthopedic, and memory care.

Funds raised will be dedicated to upgrading our fleet of wheelchairs. Currently every resident in need of a wheelchair has one. Our inventory includes older models, and our maintenance and therapy teams have stripped these wheelchairs for parts leaving our current supply of surplus wheelchairs unusable.

Rob Medeiros, JCSL's Director of Rehabilitation AND the 2025 Rehabilitation of the Year Award Winner from the Rhode Island Health Care Association, has recommended purchasing 30 new chairs and cushions so that all residents will have a new wheelchair and there will be extra to accommodate people of varying heights and weights.
